A recent Swiss study is says one to two day-time naps each week could lead to a healthier heart.
The study, which was published in a British health journal, tracked more than 3,000 people from ages 35 to 75 and those who took the occasional nap reduced their risk of heart attack or stroke by 48 percent from those who did not nap at all. This research was done over a five-year timeframe.
The study however did indicate that there was no evidence that more than one or two naps a week is good for you.
The goal of the study was to assess the relationship of napping frequency and average nap duration with fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events.
