Rural Broadband Legislation

RFD-TV’s Corryn La Rue is in DC with the break down of the Broadband Data Act. This legislation is an attempt to increase access to the internet for rural communities.

The Broadband Data Act is currently making its way through the Senate and House before it can be signed by the President. The bill will look to hold internet providers accountable and keep their coverage data accurate. Another issue that the bill will tackle is the misinformation caused by inaccurate census blocks.

RJ Karney, AFBF Congressional Relations, says that when the bill is passed it will take some time to be effective.
