Scanning For Yield-Robbers: SCN Council discusses soybean cyst nematode detection and prevention

Soybean cyst nematode is the leading yield-robber of the soybean crop in North America causing more than $1.5 billion dollars in losses annually. The SCN Coalition is now encouraging farmers to check their roots to protect yield potential.

Plant pathologist with North Dakota State University, Dr. Sam Markell spoke with RFD-TV’s own Suzanne Alexander on how big of an issue the nematodes impose on farmers, signs that your fields might be infested, and how to keep them at bay.
