Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue testifies before Congress on his department’s hemp plan. RFD-TV’s Corryn La Rue reports that lawmakers are concerned with the language in Perdue’s hemp plan, with the strongest objectors coming from the DEA. Secretary Perdue said that the agency has disliked the program from the start.
Perdue states, “Our hands were constrained, many times, by the inter agency process of other people weighing in.” Lastly, Perdue added that he will work with lawmakers on how to be flexible on Congress’s final ruling.
