Sen. Jon Tester introduces right to repair legislation

A new bill in Congress aims to give farmers the right to repair their own equipment.

Montana Democrat Jon Tester introduced the legislation, saying that he is working to break up consolidation in the ag industry.

The bill would require manufacturers to make documentation, software, tools, and parts available to owners. It also calls for third-party software to be allowed and the data in that software to be returned to farmers.
