State of the Food Supply Chain

More and more industries are feeling the affects of the pandemic and this has been especially true for animal producers and food production industries, thus leaving many farmers with more questions than answers.

Market Journal’s Bill Dodd reports on the latest news surrounding the food supply chain and what we need to look at moving forward.

According to Dr. Elliot Dennis, a livestock market analyst, “What’s really causing the bottlenecks or meat supply shortages. It’s either workers feeling afraid that their safety isn’t being taken care of by the packing plants...so, packing plants are trying to shut down for a little bit...since they’re closed were not able to process a lot of those animals...and why were seeing some concerns we won’t have meat supply in the future.”
