PORTLAND, Mich. (RFD News) — At the Michigan Livestock Expo, sisters Addison and Anna Dahms are carrying on a family tradition while learning lessons that reach far beyond the show ring.
The sisters say showing livestock has shaped who they are, teaching them responsibility and giving them confidence as they prepare for the future. They also believe supporting youth exhibitors is essential to the future of the livestock industry.
The Michigan Livestock Expo has created opportunities for youth to show livestock since 2009 and has raised more than $1 million through its Sale of Champions.
