Alex Trebek is celebrating his 80th birthday today as he becomes an octogenarian! Earlier this week Trebek gave an extended health update in a Good Morning America interview. Trebek has been battling pancreatic cancer since March of 2019.
The game show host also released his memoir “The Answer Is...Reflections on My Life” earlier this week, and is working on “Jeopardy!” Vault, which is a deep dive into the show’s archives to highlight memorable contestants, moments, and unique tournaments since the show first aired in September of 1984.
After 36 years and over 8,000 episodes, Trebek says he plans to continue his job as host as long as he is around.
