NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD News) — Tennessee 4-H is helping young people and families build connections across cultures through its International Exchange Program.
The Cunningham family and Kyoji, an exchange student visiting the United States for the first time, joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report to share their experience.
The Cunninghams have participated in the program for four years, welcoming international students into their home and introducing them to life in Tennessee. Kyoji says some of his favorite experiences have included sharing meals with his host family and trying new restaurants.
The family says some of their favorite memories come from everyday moments together and encourages other families considering the exchange program to give it a try.
