Tennessee 4-H Foundation Gives Back to Next Generation

Donors recently raised close to $1 million to support programs across the state.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD-TV) — Donations to the Tennessee 4-H Foundation are helping fund programs and opportunities for 4-H members across the state.

Joe Huffine with Tennessee Farmers Co-op and Ben Sanders with Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report to discuss the foundation and their own experiences with 4-H.

In their conversation with RFD-TV, Huffine and Sanders explained how the foundation helps fund experiences beyond 4-H’s base programming, from national trips to specialty camps.

They say alumni can help keep those opportunities available by giving money or volunteering their time.

The foundation recently raised close to $1 million during its 4-H Day of Giving, with many contributions coming in amounts of $25 or $50.
