Texas lawmaker calls on EPA to rescind WOTUS rules

A Texas Congressman is voicing his concern with EPA’s recently published WOTUS rule.

Representative August Pfluger says he believes the current administration does not have farmers’ best interest in mind.

“The Administration is coming after private lands. They want control and jurisdiction of the private lands. This has an incredibly negative effect on farmers and ranchers, my family included, and so this is very personal. We have a creek that runs through our property and the federal goverment has absolutely no business being in charge of that water of that is spring-fed, that depends on rainfall. You see this time and time again, so we are going to continue, and I will continue my fight against the overreach and against what we see the federal government trying to do to seize control of private land in Texas and beyond.
