The Federal Reserve will announce its 8th interest rate hike. What can we expect?

The markets will be moving all day in preparation for another interest rate hike. The Federal Reserve is expected to raise rates again by 25 basis points.

It will be the 8th rate hike since early 2022. The Fed is on an aggressive campaign to tamp down inflation. In the last week, a Cobank analyst said “while prices for goods are coming down, the cost of services is going up.” He hears some farmers will face higher interest rates this year than what the market is planning for.

The rate announcement will come out at 2 pm Eastern.
