The Houston VA Medical Center is filling out “produce prescriptions” for its patients

Veterans Affairs hospitals are providing fresh fruit and vegetables to test whether produce prescriptions can improve the health of people with diet-related health conditions.
The Houston VA Medical Center has been selected as a pilot for the project.
