The latest on meat packing plants around the country

As local demand increases, the packing industry is working to balance worker safety and processing capacity.

The Schuyler, Nebraska Cargill plant is open after a two-week closure to install safety measures and to test employees.

A Sanderson Farms facility in Texas confirms 26 cases of the coronavirus but is staying open.

U.S. Rep. Cindy Axne (D-Iowa) is also calling for an investigation into the alleged failure of the state OSHA department.
