The National Milk Producers Federation says the dairy industry has many reasons to celebrate Earth Day today.
In 2017, a gallon of milk required 30% less water, 21% less land and 19% smaller carbon footprint than in 2017.
According to the FAO, North America was the only region in the world in 2005 that reduced its greenhouse gas emissions as milk production increased.
