Prop-12 does not take effect for several more months, and some pork producers say there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
The Nebraska Pork Producers Association says that consumer demand remains a major unknown, especially in California. Group President, Mark Write questions if that means more supplies will be sent to other states.
He also adds that Prop-12 will have an impact on affordability once implemented.
Other producers say that the six-month grace period is not enough time to get compliant with the controversial new law.
