This month’s Producer Price Index is the lowest since January 2021

The latest Producer Price Index numbers were released today. March is down 0.5 percent, the lowest it has been since January 2021.

Overall, prices are 2.7 percent higher than a year ago. Food costs were up 0.6 percent, while energy costs fell 6.4 percent.
