Small family-owned businesses are the backbone of rural America, so in honor of Small Business Week, Tammi Arender visited Kirkpatrick Farms in Tennessee.
They are building chicken houses for those who want to raise their own birds. They also grow cantaloupes and watermelon and hope to add hogs and sheep to the operation.
