Threat of a second leak at Florida reservoir is over

The threat of a second leak at a Florida reservoir is over.

As we have previously reported, millions of gallons of wastewater have been leaking from an old phosphate plant.

By yesterday afternoon, the leak had not been fixed, with fears of a second leak, but by last night, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection announced that reports of a second seepage are false and the site is safe to continue work.

They say that the uncontrolled discharge of water to Piney Point Creek has ended.
