Trump to hold rally instead of virtual second debate

It is looking like there will be no second presidential debate.

Shortly after the announcement that next week’s debate would be virtual, President Trump said that he will not “waste his time.”

In the last hour, the Trump campaign said that it will hold a rally instead. The President’s campaign manager released a statement saying, “canceling an in person debate is not what debates are about or how they’re done. President Trump will have posted multiple negative [COVID] tests prior to the debate, so there is no need for this declaration. The safety of all involved can easily be achieved without canceling a chance for voters to see both candidates go head-to-head. We’ll do a rally instead.”

Joe Biden responded saying, “I think that I’m going to follow the commission’s recommendations.”
