Tyson Foods says that it is cooperating with the Department of Justice in their poultry industry price fixing probe.
Tyson may be close to settling a civil lawsuit against them. Tyson says that they uncovered information internally and took appropriate actions to address the issues.
By self reporting to the DoJ and being the first conspirator to confess, Tyson is eligible for the Corporate Leniency Program. If granted neither the company or employees will face fines, jail time or prosecution.
