U.S. ambassador warns countries to stop export bans

Countries are limiting food exports, and a U.S. ambassador warns it may make global hunger worse.

Cindy McCain, Ambassador to the UN, says that this not only cuts off access to food for people in those countries, it also hurts producers looking to sell their products.

She says that the real answer to the growing food shortage is that Russia needs to pull out of Ukraine. Eighteen countries currently have food export bans in place.
