U.S. tractor and combine sales both up in September

Sales of tractors and combines were both up for the month of September.

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s Flash Report, the sale of tractors was up 22 percent year-over-year in the month of September. For the year, there have been 218,970 tractors sold, an increase of 15 percent.

Combine sales were up 8 percent for the month and are up 4 percent for the year. In total, 3,770 combines have been sold in the U.S. this year.

Two-wheel driver smaller tractors were an d 4-wheel driver tractors were both up more than 20 percent in the month of September.

For the year, two-wheel drive (under 40 HP), two-wheel drive (between 40 and 100 HP) and 4-wheel driver tractors are all up from 2019.
