The National Corn Growers Association and the Environmental Defense Fund have teamed up to create the Success in Stewardship Network, devoted to acknowledging and promoting conservation practices by farmers.
Adam Birr, the Executive Director for the Minnesota Corn Growers, stated, “As we move down this sustainability journey ... I think we need to make the tent a little bit bigger and find some nontraditional partners to work with.” His hopes are that a trusted partnership like this can reach a larger audience. He goes on to say that National Corn has been working with EDF for multiple years.
The NCGA encourages any stewards who participate in a recognized program, or adopt conservation measures on their own, to join the network.
