The University of Nebraska says that high school ag programs are at risk because of a lack of ag teachers, and the state has no ag student teachers left.
Right now the state needs to fill 22 openings by August.
One high school says that its FFA program is in danger of being placed on probation, because they cannot find a teacher. The university is rolling out a plan to grant emergency certification options to help get ag teachers into the classroom.
