Dr. Matt Beacom from the University of Nebraska Medical Center discusses ways rural America can handle the outbreak of the coronavirus. According to Dr. Beacom, the main reason for preventative measures is to ensure that people who are more susceptible to the virus are safe.
Dr. Beacom stated that a large percentage of people will be fine staying home and taking care of themselves. However, the rest who are more vulnerable and who start to see a rapid increase in symptoms need to call medical professionals and make plans for seeking treatment.
