Unprecedented Situation: The weather is taking a toll on Louisiana’s sugarcane crop

The hot, dry weather in Louisiana is taking a toll on the state’s sugarcane crop. Mills have pushed back the beginning of their grinding season and some fields may be designated as failed acreage.
