USDA reports record amount of red meat produced in November

The USDA reports that red meat and pork production during November were all-time highs for the month.

Pork was reported at 2.428 billion pounds, which is up 3% on the year.

Beef production was down 1% at 2.297 billion pounds.

Red meat production came in at 4.743 billion pounds which was a 1% increase. The year to date total of 50.284 billion pounds is 3% ahead of 2018’s record pace.

December’s red meat production numbers are will be made available on January 23rd.
