A report by the UN’s Food and Ag Organization shows the world is running out of water.
Just four years from now, the agency predicts that nearly two billion people will live in regions with absolute water scarcity. By 2030, the agency forecasts half the world’s population will live in areas under high water stress, and global freshwater demand will exceed supply by 40 percent.
An article in meatinplace.com shows, as a result, major meatpackers are changing their corporate policies and using technology to assess their “water footprint.”
