All Ag All Day’s Tony St. James recently attended the Texas Cattle Feeders annual meeting in Grapevine, Texas. There he sat down with the CEO of CattleFax, Randy Blach, who shared his forecast of where he sees the cattle industry going in the next several years.
The USDA’s July 1st Cattle Inventory Report showed that in 2021 all cattle and calves were at 101 million head; this year, 95.5 million head were reported. Approximately a 5 percent drop in inventory over two years.
