Team ropers Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira have finished in the top spot two straight rounds after a 3.6 second ninth round. In the eighth round, they shared first place, that was not the case in round nine.

Driggers knew it was important to stay confident throughout a week with ups and downs.

“From the week we have had, we were doing the best we could and had luck on our side tonight. Every night is important, and we try to do the best we can, and they say it was our turn tonight.”

The two have each earned over $80,000 during the NFR and Nogueira knows how important a single round win can be.

“That’s all we do is train and never give up. God is so good, and one round win can change your whole NFR, and now we have two and one more would be better. It’s all about him (Driggers), I just have to finish. I just stop the clock, but 75% of the run is on him.”

Driggers sits in second in the header world standings with $241,320, and Nogueira is first in the heeler standings with $200,589.
