Wrangler NFR 2019: Steer wrestler Bridger Chambers emerges with top time for first career NFR round win

Ty Erickson and Cameron Morman had already posted fast times of 3.7 before Bridger Chambers took his turn and the Montana native was unfazed coming through with a clean run of 3.6 seconds to win Round 4.

“It’s overwhelming right now,” Chambers said of first career round win at NFR. “I’m just trying to soak up the little moments, enjoy it all right now, it’s pretty cool.”

Chambers has now finished in the money in three of the first four rounds at NFR to move into No. 5 in the world standings.

By tying for second, Ty Erickson was able to extend his lead in the world standings adding to his lead over second-place Hunter Cure, who won Round 3 and finished fifth Sunday night.

Two-time world champion and Round 2 winner Tyler Waguespack sits in third in the world standings and J.D. Struxness finished fourth in Round 4 to bring his NFR earnings to $62,230 and take over fourth place in the world standings.
