It was two wins in two different events for a pair of Wright brothers Sunday night.
Not to be outdone by older brother Rusty, who won Round 4 of saddle bronc riding earlier in the night, Stetson Wright recorded a 91-point ride to win bull riding go-round.
It was his second win of NFR 2019.
“Before my ride, I was loose and cool, and it was the least tense I’ve been,” Stetson said. “I was joking and having fun, and everything felt good. I was joking around in the chute too, and just happy to be here. The last couple days I was making it a job and it’s not, it is to have fun.”
With the Round 4 win, Wright closed the gap a little bit in the world standings on five-time world champion Sage Kimzey, who finished fourth Sunday night. Trey Benton III and Bourdreaux Campbell finished second and third respectively with rides of 90 and 88.
