Wrangler NFR Round 8: Clayton Biglow wins fourth consecutive bareback riding round

The scene is getting familiar at this year’s NFR, California cowboy Clayton Biglow has won each of the last four rounds in bareback riding and has cemented himself atop the world standings through eight rounds.

Biglow scored a 90 to break the Round 8 record and earn another $26,000, bringing his NFR total to whopping $137,064.

“I’m dreaming and don’t wake me up. It has not hit me yet, I will tell you that. I lay in bed at night thinking about having a Finals like this and I still have two more to get on and this just doesn’t seem real he said.”

In addition to leading the NFR average, Biglow now has a lead of close to $70,000 in the world standings.

“I haven’t looked at the standings once and I don’t need to because everyone is telling me what’s going on,” he said. “I’m not letting it bother me. I’m just coming out every night wanting to ride the horse I have the best I can.”

Kaycee Feild and Austin Foss tied for second with rides of 87.5 Thursday and Richmond Champion, who ranks No. 5 in the world, finished fourth to collect another $11,000.
