WWII veteran graduates high school at 95

Lewis Shaw left high school to join the Marine Corps in 1943. Now, the Oklahoma WWII veteran has finally graduated 76 years later.

According to CNN, Shaw received a standing ovation and a real graduation ceremony at Claremore High School on Thursday night.

“I knew I was going to get the diploma, but I had no idea I was going to get such a turnout of people,” WWII Veteran Lewis Shaw said.

The festivities did not end Thursday for Shaw, he will also serve as the Grand Marshall of the Tulsa Veterans Day parade on Monday.
