While some crops struggled with late snows and cooler temperatures, apples are keeping their head above water.
Washington Apple Commission President Todd Fryhover says growers aren’t complaining, and fall temperatures have been exceptional. He says the cooler conditions might have actually helped.
Fryhover says this year could possibly be a record crop, and he is optimistic about the improvement in color, sugar, and new varieties.
