Bird Cast: New app to help producers prevent and detect HPAI

New technology is helping the poultry industry detect and prevent avian influenza.

Bird Cast is a new app that can show migration patterns in real-time. This helps producers because the Iowa Turkey Federation says that the virus has been mainly transmitted by migrating waterfowl.

The federation says that the app allows members to be better prepared when HPAI moves in closer.
The app predicts 160 million birds to migrate throughout the day.
