Burt’s Pumpkin Farm Adds Giant Drive-Thru Attraction

The Georgia destination offers hayrides, baked goods and dozens of pumpkin varieties alongside its newest attraction.

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. (Farm Monitor) — A longtime North Georgia fall destination has added a larger-than-life attraction to its seasonal festivities.

Burt’s Pumpkin Farm, which has welcomed families for more than 50 years, introduced what it calls the world’s largest drive-thru pumpkin this year. Owner Johnny Burt says the project grew out of family discussions about finding new ways to entertain returning visitors.

The farm grows pumpkins on roughly 52 to 54 acres, with around 22 varieties of pumpkins and gourds. Visitors can also enjoy hayrides and baked goods during the fall season.

Farm Monitor’s Damon Jones visited the farm, where Burt shared why generations of returning families remain the most rewarding part of the business.
