The dairy industry has seen many obstacles arise in their markets in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. RFD-TV’s Janet Adkison interviews CEO of Dairy Management Inc. Tom Gallagher on how the industry is overcoming these hurdles.
One market outlet initially lost in the pandemic is the school systems; nearly 7 percent of the dairy industry’s products go to schools. Gallagher states that 3.5 million dollars has been raised to help keep that outlet open for the dairy industry, however, there is more demand than funding at this time.
DMI has also partnered with Feeding America to help local milk processing facilities try to prevent milk dumping and keep their products flowing.
