A cow that jumped out of a trailer held up traffic after running on a Virginia interstate Tuesday, The Virginian Pilot reports.
The cow ran more than a mile down the interstate just after 1 PM.
In a tweet, the Chesapeake Fire Department said they safely removed the cow from the road with a tow strap and it was not harmed in the process.
Almost had a Cowllision on I-64 this afternoon after a cow fell out of a trailer. It took Officers from VDOT, Virginia State PD, Chesapeake PD, and Chesapeake Fire Marshal’s Office to herd and rope this cow with a tow strap. Traffic is moooving again on I-64. pic.twitter.com/kosLUgp1jq
