National FFA Week is officially underway and will run until Sunday. This week is a meaningful time for members across the country, allowing them to share the message of the agriculture industry from its future leaders. “It’s a time where members and supporters come together to celebrate the mission, vision, and heart of the organization,” Jessica Herr, National FFA Secretary.
As a part of this special week, Monday was National Day of Service. Chapters put their leadership into action and serve their local communities. Herr says one of her favorite projects is Ag literacy, where FFA members will go into elementary classes and read books about agriculture.
The National FFA Organization is a school-based national youth leadership development organization of more than 850,000 student members as part of 8,995 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
