DES MOINES, IOWA (RFD NEWS) — National FFA Week officially begins tomorrow, marking a time when members across the country celebrate leadership, service, and the lasting impact of agricultural education in schools and communities nationwide.
National FFA Organization Secretary Lilly Nyland joined us on Friday’s Market Day Report to help kick off the week and reflect on what National FFA Week represents, especially while serving as a national officer.
In her conversation with RFD NEWS, Nyland discussed how she and the other national officers will engage with members throughout the week, emphasizing that FFA Week should be used not only as a celebration but also as an opportunity to educate others about the organization’s role in high schools across the country. She also reflected on her own journey in FFA, sharing how her experiences in the organization helped shape her confidence and sense of direction.
Nyland notes that while national officers work to inspire students, FFA members and chapters also leave a meaningful impact on those serving in leadership roles.
Lawmakers request information from CEO Scott Stump over sponsorship concerns and potential implications for the organization’s nonprofit status.
