Fort Worth, Texas (RFD News) — The 98th Texas FFA State Convention is just around the corner, with thousands of members set to gather in Fort Worth to celebrate another year of leadership, service and agricultural education.
Texas FFA State President Riley Farris joined us on Monday’s FFA Today to discuss what members can expect as the state’s convention gets underway.
In her conversation with RFD News, Farris said she’s most excited to see members connect with one another while recognizing the accomplishments of FFA students from across the state.
Looking back on her year as state president, Farris said traveling across Texas and visiting FFA chapters helped shape her both personally and as a leader. She said the experience also changed her career goals, inspiring her to consider becoming an agricultural education teacher.
Farris also encouraged members attending this year’s convention to make the most of the experience as they celebrate another successful year of Texas FFA.
