The CEO of Ford Motor Company and Lincoln Motor Company took to Twitter on Wednesday to make an important announcement regarding the future of AM Radio in their new-model vehicles.

The companies have decided to continue adding AM Radio technology to new vehicles again in 2024 models after previously deciding to discontinue its use, CEO Jim Farley said in a tweet. The company reversed its decision on technology after discussions with policymakers about the importance of AM radio to communication in rural America.

The company is also offering Ford and Lincoln owners without AM broadcasting capabilities a free software update that will add it to their vehicle.
