Senate lawmakers to hold a hearing on AM radio

Before leaving for the August recess, Senate lawmakers will meet today to discuss AM radio access in new vehicles.

It has been a hot topic in rural America after several manufacturers said that they will no longer offer it in new vehicles.
The Senate Commerce Committee will meet in less than an hour for a markup hearing and will talk about the AM Radio in Every Vehicle Act.

Groups like the National Association of Farm Broadcasting are urging listeners to reach out to their representatives and tell them how AM radio impacts their daily lives in rural America.
