Germany calls for a ban on Russian agricultural imports

Germany is calling for an import ban on agricultural products from Russia and Belarus.

An ag policy spokesperson for The Bundestag, Germany’s parliament, argued Germany and Europe are not reliant on Russian grain and continued imports from the adversarial nation must be halted. He says increasing tariffs on the products is insufficient. The proposal also urges the German government to take similar measures for an import ban at the national level if needed.
