Humane Society of United States wants Oscar Mayer to stick to timeline on gestation crates

As the pork industry grapples with the Prop-12 decision, the Humane Society of the United States wants the public to call out Oscar Mayer over gestation crate promises.

According to the Humane Society, in 2017, the company pledged to end the use of gestation crates in its meat supply by 2025. They claim that timeline has been dropped and only 25 percent of its global supply chain has moved away from the crates.

The Humane Society now has a form on its website that will send the CEO of Kraft Heinz a message.

We asked Oscar Mayer’s parent company Kraft Heinz for a statement but have not heard back.
