Illinois FFA State Vice President Reflects on the Impact of Ag Education Programs

Illinois FFA State Vice President Koben Tate reflects on a year of service and the relationships that shaped it.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (RFD News) — As his year of service comes to a close, Illinois FFA State Vice President Koben Tate is reflecting on the people who made the experience memorable.

Speaking during the Illinois FFA State Convention, Tate said the relationships he built with members and advisors across the state were the highlight of his time in the blue jacket.

His retiring address centers on the message, “Home isn’t a place, it’s people,” a reflection of the friendships and connections formed through FFA.

After the convention, Tate plans to return home to work in agriculture and help on his family’s farm.
