Indian farmers are returning home after more than a year of protesting
Farmers in India are finally returning back to their homes after more than a year of protest.
The standoff that withstood an extremely hot summer, brutally cold winter, and even a harsh wave of COVID came to an end last month after three controversial laws were repealed.
The laws would have given private entities a greater role in the farm sector. The Prime Minister and his administration said they thought the laws would help farmers but farmers said the reforms would make them even more vulnerable in the marketplace.
