John Deere unveils new self-repair options

Some farm tractors can easily cost more than a million dollars, but users have long been frustrated by a lack of self-repair options.

John Deere just announced a new digital tool letting farmers do more repairs with their own hands.

They are calling it the Operations Center Pro Service. Deere says it allows farmers to better use, maintain, diagnose, and repair their equipment. Developers say one of the big highlights of this software is allowing farmers to do their own reprogramming, a challenge most ran into after replacing some electronic components.

The program is now available to users in the U.S. and Canada.
